Community ties are essential to the Airport - Your Airport - a community asset.

The airport connects people to the community. As a community-centric and locally-run organization, Regina Airport Authority Inc. (RAA) is also committed to connecting with its community. Part of RAA's role in the community is to get involved and support community organizations through various partnership opportunities. RAA continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community through its support of a variety of community organizations.

Community Airport Partnership (CAP) Program

The Community Airport Partnership (CAP) Program is designed to provide capital contributions to rehabilitate and upgrade the network of strategic regional community airports. 2011 Community Initiatives

Some highlights from our 2011 community initiatives:

• Teddy Bears Anonymous - $4,010 sponsorship from our RAA Annual Golf Tournament (proceeds matched by RAA)
• 34 Roland J. Groome Air Cadet Squadron - $3,500 annual sponsorship
• Saskatchewan Aviation Council - $2,500 toward the annual conference in Yorkton
• Regina Flying Club - $2,000 Flight Scholarship Award (recipient Francois Vermeulen)
• Hope's Home - $1,350 donation from our BBQ fundraiser (proceeds matched by RAA)
• Yellow Wings Tour - $1,100 for fuel for the Regina Stop
• Hope Air - $600 donation
• ACI-NA Japan Airport Employee Relief Fund - $500 donation

2010 Community Initiatives

Some few highlights from our 2010 community initiatives: 

• 34 Roland J. Groome Air Cadet Squadron - $3,500 annual sponsorship
• Little Bald Angels - $3,000 donation
• Saskatchewan Aviation Council - $2,500 toward the annual conference in Yorkton
• Regina Flying Club - $2,000 Flight Scholarship Award (recipient Aaron Zerr)
• Canadian Red Cross - $1,000 donation to support the relief effort in Haita
• Souls Harbour Rescue Mission - $550 donation
• Hope Air - $500 donation
• Snowbirds 40th Anniversary - $500 sponsorship
• Support Our Troops Gala - $500 sponsorship
• A variety of other forms of sponsorship including advertising, air cadet tours, events & golf tournaments, etc
